Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an author of the popular “Street fiction” genre. A sub~genre of African American fiction. I have writing over 27 books.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest novella is entitled “Return of Trina: Chronicles of Southeast” it is a sequel to my popular 2010 novel, “How Do You Want It: The Story of Southeast Trina”, which chronicles the turbulent life of a young female drug lord.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Well I don’t necessarily consider it unusual, but I enjoy listening to 90s hip hop music when I write.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Authors K’wan Foye, Donald Goines and Iceberg Slim have influenced me the most.
What are you working on now?
I am working on actually publishing young, up~and~coming street/urban fiction authors.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Yes. Make sure that you always believe in yourself!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The same as above. Always believe in yourself.
What are you reading now?
Mostly Marvel and DC graphic novels. (I’m a huge comics fans).
What’s next for you as a writer?
Short films…
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
“48 Laws of Power”, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, “The Holographic Universe” & “The Autobiography of Malcolm X”
