Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am mainly an interracial romance writer being a huge fan of the interracial space long before it was ‘a thing’. I am also in an interracial relationship, married (BWWM) to my hubby for 8 years and we have the cutest, curly-haired three-year-old daughter hoping for another one soon!
When I’m not writing I enjoy watching interracial family vlogs, caring for my zoo of animals (hermit crabs, cats, dogs, etc.), traveling and spending copious amounts of time with my daughter and hubby.
I’m not a big TV watcher but my favorite movies are ‘Guess Who’ (the one with Bernie Mac) and Avatar. Can you guess who my favorite actress is? Hint: She’s in both of these movies! Haha!
If you like steamy stories that always have a happy ending, my books are for you and don’t forget to leave a review so I know how much you enjoyed them!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is ‘In My Crosshairs’. It was inspired one day when I was reading an article about snipers. I realized how much they sacrifice their own peace of mind and lives to go through the rigorous training. I am thankful for each sniper who sacrifices themselves to keep us safe and this is a wish that all find true love and happiness.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
lol, well I’m not sure what normal writing habits are so I’m not sure if I have any unusual writing habits. I get inspiration from almost everything around me even things not related to romance and love like a fish tank or my cats. I guess I’m weird in that sense. My inspirations can be quite abstract and far out yet my stories are quite normal.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read a book by Zane that sparked my creativity. I never even finished the book but it just lit something in me and made me want to write books like it.
What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on my next book where a cruise sinks and two people who hated each other have to work together to survive and end up becoming more than friends. wink wink.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m not sure. I’m pretty new to this. I’m more familiar with SEO type of stuff.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t be money blind. Whether your book sells one or a million copies, you’re gaining so much more than money can buy you and you will be respected by your peers by just having publications.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
If you believe you can you will. If you believe you can’t you won’t.
What are you reading now?
Paying Daddy’s Debt by Alexa Riley & Seoul Food Korean Cookbook by Naomi Imatome
What’s next for you as a writer?
Increasing the number of books I have published.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Help, You Are A Badass and probably a book about pickles (not the kind you eat either, lol!) or something kinky like that.
