Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I live in South Florida and absolutely love living here. I’m first and foremost, an avid reader, turned writer. My debut novel is releasing Sept. 22, 2018
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My first romance novel is called Blue Diamond. Reading inspired me to give writing a go. I’ve always loved writing, but never really thought to write an actual book. One day, I sat in my room with my laptop and began…just like that.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I have to have music on…and not very quiet music. Pinterest is a must for finding character inspiration. Also, when I get a random idea come to me, I’ve been know to write it down on old store receipts, napkins, whatever I have on hand. Coffee, tea and chocolate make for a great writing experience.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Gosh, there are far too many to list, but my love of reading, and the passion to do so, started after reading Judy Bloom books. I was hooked after that.
What are you working on now?
Right now, I’m working on another stand-alone romance involving an artist and a horror author. I hope to have it ready early 2019.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I promote on my website, Facebook, Goodreads, Allauthor, Pinterest, Hometown Reads, and brand new on BookBub.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Being new myself, I’m learning everyday, but what I can say, is not to compare yourself to other writers, embrace your own uniqueness. Also, don’t be afraid to write what you want…how you want.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I’ve ever heard was to just be me, and i remind myself often.
What are you reading now?
Right now, I’m not reading anything. *Gasp* I’ve been so busy getting my book ready that I haven’t had the time, but I have a Kindle packed with books waiting for me.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’d love to meet some of my Author friends some day, continue learning and growing, and write more books!
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I’d take Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan, One With You by Sylvia Day, Beautiful Disaster by Jamie Mcguire, and The Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle.
