Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was born May 9, 1951, in Los Angeles California, I knew at a very young age, that I had a unique way of communicating which drew and kept the attention of listeners.
My father, who was also a published author, introduced me to Shakespeare and Edgar Allen Poe as a means of drawing me into a love of literature. Furthermore, my teachers always encouraged me in the area of my speaking gift through the narration of plays and speaking at various school events. I married in my teens and had 2 children, a son Robert and daughter Ila. However, by 18 I went on to a career in Social Services where I received letters of accommodation for solving difficult court cases in the Welfare Investigation Section.
Years later I decided to seek higher education and left the workforce to attend San Jose State University, where I received a BA in Social Science concentrating in Economics. I currently reside in Redlands California with my Chowpug Molly, while establishing myself as a Motivational Speaker and Life Coach.
I am the Author Of: Through His Eyes: My Journey From Sexual Abuse Victim To Victory In Jesus Christ, and a children’s picture book the ABC’s Of Gods Kingdom, which teaches children to recite the alphabet and read the word of God.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book is Through His Eyes which is a Non-Fiction journey into my life as a victim of childhood sexual abuse, and how I received the relief and healing I needed to overcome some very tragic and painful events. I attempt to take the reader on the journey from the victim’s vantage point rather than from the psychological or clinical viewpoint, not to say that the Medical aspect is not needed but there is a big difference between the two.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don’t think I do anything unusual other than something many other writers may do, which is writing whatever comes out without thinking about punctuation, grammar, etc. It frees my mind to formulate the ideas that begin to flow rapidly. It is like being on a high-speed roller coaster. The adrenalin rush does not stop until the ride comes to an end.
