About Delusional Madness
Cassie Alexander’s world shatters when her husband declares her insane and has her committed to a 19th-century asylum. What awaits her behind the iron gates is not treatment—but torment. Labeled hysterical and stripped of her freedom, Cassie must navigate a nightmarish system built to silence women like her.
Within these bleak walls, she encounters others who’ve been discarded by society: grieving widows, spirited daughters, survivors of trauma—all hidden away in the name of decency and control. As Cassie uncovers the horrific truth behind the institution’s façade, she realizes that escape may come at a terrible cost. But silence, she decides, is no longer an option.
Delusional Madness is a haunting tale of injustice, resilience, and the quiet revolution of one woman’s refusal to be forgotten. Inspired by true events, it sheds light on the brutal legacy of mental asylums—and the enduring power of the human spirit.
