About Different, Yet the Same by Reagan Fast
Megan lives in the lovely village of Autara, where people see the world a little differently. Loud sounds can hurt, eye contact is tricky, and sometimes the right words just won’t come out. When visitors stop coming, Megan sets out on a brave adventure to show that everyone deserves connection, friendship, and love.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Reagan Fast was born in Buffalo, New York. Diagnosed with non-speaking autism at age three, she found her voice at ten through a letter board, showing the world she had been listening and understanding all along. By twelve, she moved from a special education classroom into regular education with an aide, and she went on to graduate high school with honors in 2023. Today, she is a student at Arizona State University, studying Disability Studies with a minor in Biology.
Reagan is a person of deep faith. She loves to write, travel, draw, sing, swim, ride roller coasters, and explore the beauty of nature. Her dream is to help others, especially within the faith community, learn how to welcome and value people with disabilities as equally created by God. Though she is an only child, Reagan treasures the time she spends with her parents, her grandparents Omi and Opa, and her big circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
