About Do not be fooled by images
In the year 2023 we seem to have become an society that is dominated by image. Images that are created by individuals, campaigns, iconic movements and organisations for various different reasons. The worrying thing is that very few of these images are verified as being one hundred percent accurate or truthful, but one thing I can say that the common theme for all these images is that they all have some sort of deliberate intention behind them. My opinion why there is an obsession with image is that we now live in a society where many individuals are desperate to look successful and important and in order to do this many implement the method of exaggerating about their lives, careers and relationships. These days very few people seem to want to be seen as being normal and living a normal life because being normal does not impress anybody. But exaggeration is not a method only used by the individual, if you look at the job sector you quickly identify the craze in over the top, sounding job titles that have replaced job titles that were used for many years. I believe that many companies are now over exaggerating the intellectual and stimulation levels of the jobs that they are recruiting for and the main tool of this technique is to use an over the top exaggerated job title. In addition social media is oversaturated by individuals, campaigns, iconic movements and organisation trying to influence and attract the masses using images, sometimes to impress you and many times to influence into their way of thinking. You have media channels using images to thrust their bias and way of looking at an issue onto you as being the correct way to look at an issue. In a society of images it’s vital that we are not fooled by those that are not accurate and not verified as being truthful, and teach ourself to identify what are the true intentions of the images and those responsible for creating them.
