Interview With Author Dr. Aashna Gill
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an endodontist (dental specialist) by profession. I have written two books, the second being a massive global success especially loved by United Kingdom where it has been an Amazon bestseller five times so far, since it’s publication about a year back.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
SANDS: Love-themed contemporary fairytales, illustrated poems & prose. It is a daydream about love.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I use the books I am reading as writing prompts.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
JK Rowling’s Harry Potter Series finds it’s nerdy tributes in my books. Most recently, The Great Gatsby, sent me on a writing frenzy.
What are you working on now?
I write daily. How it shapes into a book will amaze me in time. Also, I am working on a question-answer book for MDS Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Instagram, Amazon ads.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Persevere. Develop a thick skin.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
What is the use of writing if you don’t put it out into the world !

What’s next for you as a writer?
So far, my book has been on display at Sharjah International Book Fair and Goa Book fair. Currently it is on display at World Book Fair, Delhi. In October , it will be displayed at Frankfurt Book Fair, Germany. I hope to make my book a commercial success.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Books on how to build a boat. 😀
