Interview With Author E.M. Johnson
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a retired teacher and have a special interest in animal welfare. I have written one book.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I have recently written my first book Imperfect Lives, Perfect Grace the story of Leah and Tamar. I was inspired by Leah and her story, a story that is sometimes misunderstood. She is so much more that many people know about her.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Nothing really unusual. I do a lot of work late at night and early morning.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Alice Walker and her book of poems, Once and Earnest Gaines with the autobiography of Ms Jane Pittman.
What are you working on now?
A Christian Education Handbook
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Using Social Media
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Learn as much as you can about book promotion, writing is just the beginning.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don't say you want to be a writer, say you are a writer.
