Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi my loves! I am Ela Rae~ The Warrior of Love. Registered Hospice Nurse specializing in hospice care/end of life. Single, homeschooling mom to 2 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats. It is on my own journey with hospice and thousands of souls, now on the other side, I awoke to my gifts of deep intuition, seeing beyond the veil, communication with spirits, healing, and the deep wisdom and understanding of our soul’s journey here on Earth and the soul connections between all of us.
This is my first book I have written. I even sold my house, quit my job, moved me and the kids and pets into an apartment so I could write this book. Used my equity to live, to have the freedom to write.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Soul 2 Soul Through the Eyes of a Hospice Nurse
This book was inspired by sharing life with thousands of patients and family members over the years. From newborns to 100 year old plus old woman. A place where I learned the depth of true love and the oneness that connects us all. . Love beyond the color of our skin, beyond our education levels, beyond how much money we have, or what side of the tracks we are from. For, sharing end of life with thousands, I came to understand only love is real. It is in our sharing of life, connecting in love, we find all we are seeking for. It has always been right in front of us. Sharing, connecting
Facing death, every day, I only knew that I could not leave this earth someday at the end of my own life, not having written the books I came here to write. Writing, as Ela Rae The Warrior of Love is my soul’s desire and passion.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Probably the out of the blue, need to drop everything and suddenly write. It will come out of nowhere. The sudden need to allow God, Spirit, Creation, Love, inspiration to flow through me. Even driving down out seeing patients some days, suddenly I will need to pull over and write. Like many of you, if I don’t do it then and there, I will never remember. LOL
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Wayne Dyer was my greatest source of inspiration. I was in my darkest place in life. My ex husband had left right after our second child was born to live with another woman. Recovering from c section, my last year in nursing school, I stumbled across him one day on PBS. His message, somehow found its way through the fog around me.Breaking me free of the loss. Over the years, his message that has always stood out is, “don’t die with your music still in you. ” That phrase alone, has drivin my life, passion, to break free of the mundane, to live with my soul on fire as The Warrior of Love
What are you working on now?
The marketing for this book. I LOVE the creative aspect of writing. Now learning the business side. YUCK!
My next book though will likely be either Soulmates, dancing each other back into love through time (it’s about romantic partners in this life I have shared past lives with). Maybe Alchemy of Love . Maybe the journey to forgiving my ex husband for leaving when our second child was born.Maybe a book about living an inspired, soul centered, soul on fire life! IDK which one will come out first. They are all in various stages of writing. It will ultimatley be what feels right. Which book wants to come through first. Each book has its own soul and life force, life to be birthed. It will be up to the books, God/Spirit and my inner knowing.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
This is my first book and marketing. So I have nothing to share with you.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep pushing through. It may at times feel like it is an uphill battle all the way. But the day I hit publish, actually it was an accident. My bbok published itself 2 weeks early, but the joy and excitement was so worth every tear and inner battle I faced within me to get here.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Don’t die with your musice still in you!” Wayne Dyere
What are you reading now?
Nothing. I am a single, homeschooling, working mom that is writing and learning all about business and marketing. I am just happy I can take a bath a few times a week and other then the dog, no one follows me into bathroom! My kids are teenagers,
