Interview With Author Eli Liszt
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a native to Texas and an avid reader. Gardening is my go-to hobby when I need to decompress. I have only published one book thus far; however, I am currently working on book 2 of the Celestial Beings Trilogy which is scheduled for publication later this year.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Pneuma, The Celestial Beings Trilogy – Book One. My inspiration comes from reading sci-fi novels mixed with a bit of romance.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I tend to prep my mental state by listening to new age classical music before sitting down and writing.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
J.R.R Tolkein, English author of the Lord of the Rings books.
What are you working on now?
I am working on book two of the Celestial Beings Trilogy – Quintessence.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My own website along with Instagram. It has been difficult getting exposure as an Indie Author.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
If writing is your passion, then never give up and keep on writing. The more you write, the better you’ll get. Your first, second and third draft doesn’t have to be perfect. What matters is that you took the time and courage to write.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The purpose of writing is to stimulate the conscious mind of your readers.
What are you reading now?
Honestly, I have not had time to read these past few months other than research for my current book that is scheduled to be published later this year.
What’s next for you as a writer?
To complete my Trilogy before 2026 which I believe will occur in due time. Creativity cannot be rushed if you want the final product to be perfect.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I am a sucker for English Literature, so this one is fairly easy:
1) Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austin
2) Love Poems by Lord Byron
3) Othello by William Shakespeare
