Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
This is the first book I’ve written, but I have written small chunks of stories in the past. primarily fanfictions, with a few sprinklings of original works that were all in a sort of action thriller or action sci-fi genre.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Heaven’s Pillar the Last Rainy Night, its a remake of a story I once wrote a few years ago, in fact its going to be a start of a series inspired by the old writings me and a friend created over the course of our friendship. admittedly the tone of the book might be a byproduct of how I was feeling after my friend passed away, but in general the story is also inspired my many Indie RPGs I’ve played that focus on the psychological struggles of the main characters.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
When writing notes for my stories I tend to write them as if they are a letter to someone. I’m not sure if its helpful or not I just tend to do that a lot despite the fact that I’m the only one who would ever see these notes and outlines.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’m not sure if this is cheating with this question, but I’ve honestly been more inspired by Video games than I have by books. I honestly always wanted to make my own game, but I lack the programming talent to do so. I’ve honestly always been inspired particularly by Hironobu Sakaguchi, not just by the beautiful stories of his games, but just his life story. To think that Final Fantasy was this final project he worked on, his last gambit before going back to school, and to think he built the game focusing on his strengths which was his ability to write a story. There’s something so inspiring about his life, and its something I think a lot of people could relate to.
What are you reading now?
