Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
m a writer with over 1 years of experience in journalism, creative writing, and content creation.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Finance 101 : understanding and managing your business finance
Finance 101 is a comprehensive guide to understanding the financial aspects of running a business. It covers everything from basic accounting principles to advanced financial management strategies. The book is designed to help business owners and managers make informed financial decisions and avoid common pitfalls. The ‘What Inspires It’ part of the title refers to the fact that the book also explores the motivations and attitudes that drive successful financial management. Overall, it’s a great resource for anyone who wants to take control of their business finances and maximize their profitability.”
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
“I don’t think I have any unusual writing habits, but I do like to take breaks and go for a walk or do some stretches to keep my mind fresh and clear.”
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I would have to say that Stephen King has had a big influence on me as a writer. His ability to create suspense and keep readers on the edge of their seats has always impressed me. I think ‘The Shining’ and ‘Misery’ are both masterclasses in horror writing.”
What are you working on now?
“I’m currently juggling a few different projects: a memoir about my experiences as a journalist, a series of short stories set in my hometown, and a screenplay adaptation of a book I really love. It’s a lot to manage, but I enjoy the variety.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
If someone asks you, “Do you have any advice for new authors?” you can offer some general tips and insights based on your own experience as a writer. Here are a few suggestions:
1. Read widely and often: The more you read, the more you’ll learn about different writing styles, techniques, and approaches. Reading can also help you identify what you like and don’t like in a story, which can inform your own writing.
2. Write every day: Writing is a craft that requires practice, so make it a habit to write every day, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Over time, you’ll develop your skills and build momentum.
3. Embrace failure: Writing is a process, and not every draft or idea will be a success. Don’t be afraid to fail or make mistakes; instead, use them as opportunities to learn and grow.
4. Find a writing community: Writing can be a solitary pursuit, but it doesn’t have to be. Joining a writing group or community can provide feedback, support, and motivation.
5. Edit ruthlessly: The editing process is just as important as the writing process. Be willing to revise and refine your work, cutting out anything that doesn’t serve the story or characters.
Remember that everyone’s writing journey is different, so these tips may not apply to everyone. Ultimately, the most important thing is to find what works for you and keep writing!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I’ve ever heard is to always follow your passion, even if it seems risky or unconventional. Life is too short to waste time doing things that don’t truly fulfill you.”
What are you reading now?
No
What’s next for you as a writer?
“As a writer, I’m always looking for new challenges and opportunities. I plan to keep writing and submitting my work to literary journals and publishers, and I’m also interested in connecting with other writers and participating in writing communities. Ultimately, my goal is to keep improving my craft and to create work that resonates with readers.”
