Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a mom of 4, who’s addicted to green tea and country music.
I’ve written over 6 books by now, but just started publishing them.
There are 3 live now on all major retailers (the Men and Country collection of short stories), and my debut novel, which is inspired from the same universe is launching on June 1, 2021 and I’m so excited to finally be able to share my passion with others!
The second book of the Pink and Country series is also ready and should launch in the summer!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My last book is rather a series of short-stories called Men and Country (prequels to the book #1 of the series, Pink and Country)
Nashville and the Smoky mountains are two of my favorite places in the world, so that’s where my new series Pink and Country is taking place.
I created Green Mountain as my fictional town.
The series will count a couple of full-length novels 9all standalone that can be read in any order) that all take place in this small-town, country music set-up, and a few collections of short stories to give a voice and a backstory to the characters that don’t have a full-length novel.
If you like country music and small-town vibes, that one series to grab!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Something I write late at night just to get a few hours for myself once the kids are in bed.
When I’m in a creative flow and my family (husband included) is too noisy, I hide in my car to write!
I can also write entire chapters on my phone wherever I am if inspiration strike. I just can’t stop the words from pouring out, and I don’t want to forget anything.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read about anything because I like to immerse myself in so many universes.
In the last year, I’ve read a lot of Jaine Diamond and Amy Daws.
I love thriller too, but I’m not inspired to write one, at least not now.
What are you working on now?
Book #3 of the Pink and Country series
And book #1 of another series I wrote a while back and touching it up before sending it to my editor.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m still learning. Hopefully Awsomegang.com and I will me a great match!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
It seems like a lot. But once you start digging, you find out a great community that can really help you out. It’s not as scary as it looks like. In the last year, I’ve learned so much stuff, I still can’t believe my brain digest all of it.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
When you do what you love, just keep going and don’t stop. The rest will follow.
What are you reading now?
Love notes by Staci Hart
What’s next for you as a writer?
Publishing all my books I have on the back burner in the next couple of months, and also getting them into Audiobooks, which will be something new for me. I can’t wait to get started and hear my books being narrated.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Ride by Harper Dallas
Split Second (David Baldacci)
After (Anna Todd)
Hot Mess (Jaine Diamond)
