About Endangered Species
Divemaster and charter boat captain Alex Nolen’s peaceful and nomadic life is suddenly turned upside down by a trio of poachers in their hunt for a rare, endangered turtle along Florida’s Escambia River. The illegal animal trade can be a lucrative business, and the poachers will let nothing get in the way of their quest to capture the turtle. This includes Alex, his friends, and the beautiful marine researcher he has just met. Poachers, however, may not be the only danger. Something lurks beneath the murky waters of the river that may pose an even greater threat. Could this be Alex Nolen’s last dive?

Author Bio:
Growing up along the Florida panhandle, with white sandy beaches and the Gulf of Mexico for a playground, Nate developed a deep love of the marine environment early in life. He is an avid scuba diver and enjoys almost any activity that is on, under, or around the water. The ocean and its endlessly fascinating inhabitants continue to capture his imagination. Like many writers, Nate has a diverse background of experience. While life has taken him many places, coastal and inland, two constants along the way are his love for adventure and all things aquatic. Nate works to share this love with others through his writing, combining his passion for experiencing, exploring, and protecting the marine environment with the craft of storytelling to create the Southern Waters Adventure Series. He currently lives in the midwestern United States with his wife and two neurotic cats. He is also a member of the Alliance of Independent Authors and the Florida Writers Association.
