Yes. I sometimes woke up in the middle of the night, just to write one sentence and then go back to sleep.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read so many books and had so many who influenced my writing. Foremost of them is Mark Twain. Can remember vividly when I first wrote not less than 2000 word count story in 2003, I did that after reading ‘The Prince and the pauper’ by Mark T.
Second person was Chinua Achebe, have read most of his books; Things fall apart, No longer at ease, Arrow of God, Chike and the river. Chinua inspired so many Negro writers.

Yes. Don’t consider yourself as a pro in the writing industry, and take in criticism wholeheartedly.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
It was from my editor. She said to me; ‘…hey Ephraim, be real, you don’t have to censor yourself… ‘ This was because of my write up on a sex scene. After that, I sometimes delve into erotic writing for fun.
What are you reading now?
Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe
What’s next for you as a writer?
To reach the ‘hard’ target I set for myself. That’s surpassing Achebe’s legacy in Africa.
