Interview With Author Erin Dullaghan Jones
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Dullaghan Jones is a seasoned public relations and crisis communication expert who is passionate about branding, content creation, and strategic marketing. Her career has spanned high-profile events, corporate communications, and media relations, and she has built a reputation for delivering impactful messaging and crisis management solutions.
Erin began her career as the Director of Publicity and Communications Manager at the Kentucky Derby Festival, the largest festival in the country. During this period, she also served as a Broadcast Coordinator and Press Officer for the ESPN X Games, overseeing media relations for an internationally renowned sporting event. Her marketing expertise grew while working as the Louisville Regional Marketing Specialist for Whole Foods Market, where she merged her passion for health and wellness with innovative marketing strategies. She later advanced her strategic communications experience as the Director of Sales at Metromojo, LLC.
Erin founded Dullaghan INK, a communications firm specializing in public relations, crisis communication, event marketing, and strategic planning. Through Dullaghan INK, she has provided expert consulting for a diverse range of clients, including those in philanthropy, consumer goods, and corporate branding. Additionally, she is a sought-after speaker and trainer, delivering keynote presentations at marketing and PR events nationwide.
Alongside her PR and marketing expertise, Erin is a published author and blogger. She wrote and published “The Adventures of Susie & Johnny Grilled Cheese,” an illustrated children’s book, and founded Divorcee Dish, a blog and bestselling book that delves into relationships, dating, and personal growth.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The latest book is the Susie & Johnny Grilled Cheese Series – Retro Adventure. This book series is inspired through my 3 kids. We made these characters up when they were little and we giggled away.

What are you working on now?
I am working on two books my third Divorcee Dish book and next Susie & Johnny Grilled Cheese book
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
That is a great question – I feel I’m still figuring that out. They sell great in-stores however right now I’m in Indie stores and Amazon – Social Media and testimonials have helped.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Yes, be patient and stay the course nothing happens overnight. Work with other authors and tell your story and inspiration. Keep pursuing your dreams.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t give up, Judy Blume was rejected so many times before her success.
What are you reading now?
I’m reading Three Little Lies by Laura Marshall
What’s next for you as a writer?
Finish and publish two books I’m working on and keep blogging and sharing ideas.
