Ever After by K A Langfeld
Wales, Castle of Caerleon, 1922: Jennifer, the Lady of the House, is drawn to the crypt in the middle of the night. After an encounter with a spectre, she loses consciousness. Jonathan, her husband, finds her almost lifeless in the morning. Legends have it that the “Lady in White” has killed before. Soon, Jonathan and Jennifer’s brother find themself on a quest to save her life. A thousand-year-old script seems to be the key to unravelling the mystery: it points to King Arthur’s court, where tragedy let evil in the King’s soul and created a great unjustness that time cannot heal. Will they unravel the mystery in time to save Jennifer’s life?

Author Bio:
The stars and the world’s grandeur at cosmic scales was my first love, which has never let me go. I am now a professor of theoretical physics at a research-intensive University in England. Creative Writing has always been a keen interest. During the lockdown, I made this dream a reality. You are not wrong in thinking that Science Fiction is my genre. To my surprise, too, two short stories in Historical Fiction have been my debut, one of which is “Ever After”.
I am living with my wonderful wife in West Yorkshire. We have two grown-up children who are building their own lives now.
