About Everlasting Daylights by Patrick Morton
This is book two of The Day The Earth Stood Still, a Dystopian approach to red hot romancing in modern times. On the very cusp of the sun stalling dead in the predawn sky, Drissa Philipa, 34, is on vacation with her husband, Drew, 36, when the damning situation presents itself. Having taken on role-playing in the bedroom, the dire fear of roasting to death drives them desperately into each other’s arms. The Philips’ are rescued during a failed aviation system result by her former boss, Senator Hastings, who is in Australia on business with part of his staff. During the flight home, they do not take the news of a dying planet very well. This stark fear sinking to their cores, drives them to make the jump from friends to lovers, some entangling themselves during the flight. Mostly resolving to die in the scant week that temperatures will become deadly, the couples react to the dreadful fear in the only way available, spending every spare moment in bed. Will a predicted rare weather anomaly crush the killer temperatures in time? If so, can they join their resources to stave off the coming famine as crops fail on the lit side of Earth?
