Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
There’s two books out there with my name on them.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I wrote a small book called The Artist, The Audience and a Man Called Nothing. It was inspired, you may have guessed, by a man called Mr. Nothing. This man is an actor who performs instead of lives. He’s also so interesting that I simply had to write a book about him and our exchanges.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I only write between the hours of 2 am and 5 am. During this time I drink liquidised kale and broccoli. If I’m writing while I’m nervous, I tend to scratch my back until it bleeds. Which forces me to stop writing and consider the state of my mind, which is in tatters. I patch myself up and continue writing. This ultimately calms me down and prepares me for a sound, dreamless sleep.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The Greatest Book Ever Written by The Greatest Writer Alive Today.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on giving Mr. Nothing another story to live within. His voice gets screechy when he complains, it’s giving my sanity a hard time.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Amazon.com OF COURSE.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t write between the hours of 2 am and 5 am. Things get strange.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Drink liquidised kale and broccoli while writing.
What are you reading now?
Treasure Island. Who know who wrote it.
What’s next for you as a writer?
To write, write, write.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The longest book ever written, to burn.
The second longest book ever written, to use as a pillow to sleep on.
And the Little Prince because I love to feel emotions that leave me wrecked and weepy.
