Author Bio:
Because of her own struggles, Dr. Linda Gannaway has been fascinated with procrastination. She taught her first class on procrastination when she was a pre-doctoral intern at the University of Texas at Austin. She loved the teaching and the topic! From there, she went on to work at universities for more than 25 years and taught classes to thousands of students on procrastination, time management, stress management, and goal setting.
Today Linda calls herself a "recovering procrastinator." She finally learned how to stop sabotaging her own goals and dreams. Now she's on a mission to help other procrastinators do the same.
Through her research on procrastination, Linda discovered that the main avoidance activity people use when they procrastinate is spending too much time on their phones. To her surprise, Linda realized that she was addicted to screen time. She had to figure out how to overcome her own internet addiction. She decided to include her entire personal experience with procrastination in her book, including the strategies that helped her eventually develop healthy habits around being online.
The payoff was huge. The research is clear. Non-procrastinators are happier, healthier, and wealthier. You can be among them.
Linda lives in California's Central Valley. She enjoys speaking, consulting, life coaching, and writing. She also wrote The Power of Life Lessons. For information about Linda’s speaking and consulting services, or to get information on personal coaching, you can contact Linda through her website.
