Author Bio:
Author Paul Mason found a gap in the curriculum in his children's public high school career planning classes. He was told that vocational schools, apprenticeship programs, and community jobs programs would not be allowed at the high school college fair due to the school board policies.
After that unfortunate revelation, Paul decided to go on a mission; and that was to educate young adults in his community about alternative options for obtaining post-secondary education and viable career paths without acquiring daunting college loan debt.
Paul realized shortly after setting out on his mission that his audience was limited to the local community and that's when Paul decided "maybe a book could better tell the story".
Paul is passionate about educating young adults about the pitfalls of obtaining college loan debt that leave an indelible mark on young adults after college as they try to gain a financial foothold on their careers, life choices, and success after high school. Paul is also an instructor at a local vocational apprenticeship school educating adult learners in their respective apprenticeship fields for nearly a decade.
Paul Mason lives in the upper Midwest region of the United States with his wife and his trusted writing companion, a knee-high pit bull terrier mix named Sugar. Paul is considered an expert on alternative career planning, as he struggled to find career direction in high school and dropped out of college in his first year. Paul happened upon an apprenticeship in the construction industry that changed the trajectory of his life. Paul has used those life experiences to promote vocational school education or apprenticeship to enter a great career requiring very little education cost.
When Paul isn't writing books about Career Planning For Teens, his spare time finds him playing bagpipes in a local volunteer community Irish pipe and drum band that entertains the public at parades and community events.
Paul is an independent author writing for SugarDog Publishing and has written multiple fiction and non-fiction books on various topics and fictional storylines that resonate with his readers. Paul Mason writes non-fiction books under the pen name P.D. Mason.
