About Five Degrees
Welcome to Bristol, baking in the scorched summer of 2069.
Food is scarce and freedom scarcer, so when teacher Bonnie gets the chance to land a well-paid job with a local arm of the authoritarian UK Government, could her troubles be over? Or is there more to this than meets the eye?
Five Degrees anticipates our future through the eyes of a young woman as she struggles to improve her chances.

Author Bio:
Sim Barker is an avid reader, climate activist and writer. She wrote this book to highlight the reality of life in our near future assuming a business as usual approach to carbon use by tracking our current weather changes. In addition to reflecting an accurate picture of our climate in 2069, Five Degrees also overlays a possible oppressive governement and authoritarian home base army into the mix.
