Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a freelance writer and small business owner. I write a lot in the small business marketing niche, because I failed miserably when I first started in business. My first business was IT support, and it failed within nine months. I then decided to learn everything I could about marketing a small business.
Today I write marketing guides to share what I learned with other small business owners and services professionals. I’m currently putting all this info together in the “Market Your Services” series on Amazon.
I also contribute to the blog BizMarketingHelp.Blogspot.com where we help service professionals and owners of service-based businesses to grow their businesses fast, free up more time, and multiply their profits.
We do this by publishing easy-to-understand marketing guides that show you how to exponentially grow your business and free up more time through multiplying your referrals, endorsements and repeat business.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The “Market Your Services” series that I’m in the process of completing has 4 titles:
How to Convert Referrals Into Buyers And Fans of Your Business
How to Get More Referrals For your Service Based Business
How To Automate The Referral Engine For Your Service based Business
How To Get All The Customers You’ll Ever Need In Your Service-Based Business.
With this series my aim is to give you pretty much all the information you can ever need in this information age to effectively market your services without a lot of hard work, without spending a fortune.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My big strength as a writer is that I read a lot, I have a very good memory and I’m good at problem solving. So I end up seeing through a lot of clutter, which helps a lot when you want to explain stuff to people.
Writing wise, I not into a lot of organization, structuring, and outlining. Most of this stuff I do in my head, over time. But at the end I usually come up with a good structure to explain what I want to teach to make it easy to understand.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read a lot of pop fiction growing up. On of my all time favorite authors was Harold Robbins. But I have also greatly admired and been influenced by the work of Alistair Maclean, Robert Ludlum, Danielle Steele and a host of others.
What are you working on now?
Currently I’m focusing on completing the market your services series
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I haven’t done a lot of book promotions this way, preferring to do direct marketing. I have no favorites yet.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Put out a lot of content, because this keeps your mind in constant practice. One of the keys to mastery at anything you do is unending practice.
What are you reading now?
Mastery, The Keys To Success and Long-term Fulfillment by George Leonard. It’s an old book but well worth your time.
