About George the fur drop and the very strange day by Nellie Hutchinson
If you love books by Stephan Cosgrove in the serendipity series, then you’ll love this heartwarming tale. In this story a creature named George doesn’t fit in with the other animals of the forest. Their first impressions of him aren’t the best and so they decide it isn’t worth it to get to know him. That all changes when a little bird who thinks George is VERY interesting follows him along and realizes he’s a pretty special friend. The little bird helps the animals of the forest see how differences can be something to be cherished by showing all the wonderful things George does in his day.
In this beautifully illustrated book you’ll go to a peaceful wonderful place where our differences are what make us special not what makes us unlovable.

Author Bio:
I was a hesitant reader as a little kid. Stubborn as a mule too, I only had two books I would read at first, "I hate my bow" and "baseball ballerina". But once I got the hang of reading I couldn't stop. I was constantly reading, I learned to adore books. I'm still a picky reader, but when I find a book I love it fills me up head to toe. I loved the serendipity series especially as a kid and would love getting lost in the illustrations. As an adult I painted portraits professionally for 10 years until one day I was asked to illustrate a children's picture book and it changed my life. I had never really considered making my own children's book (even though it was suggested to me a lot). But once I started all the ideas just kept coming.
I live in a quiet little town in southeast Michigan with my two children and my husband and two guinea pigs who have inspired my books "the Adventures of Guinea Butt and Lacy Loo". My husband and I love daydreaming together, whether about projects around the house or different ideas for my books. My kids are a HUGE inspiration for my work and we're always coming up with ideas together. My son has followed in my footsteps and has also been a hesitant reader so I'm always trying to come up with stories he wants to read. Making picture books has helped me find a part of myself I didn't know was missing. I hope my books can help you too!
