About Germaine Grey: A Tale from the Book of Mendelora by Nicholas Mason
A missing mother. A little boy haunted by a dark force. And a fairy tale book that holds deadly secrets…
It all began the day Mama met Dad at the door, her face ashen, trembling in fear. Something had shaken her to her core. Two days later, she vanished, leaving behind a gilded book for me, her eldest daughter—The Book of Mendelora.
“Promise me you’ll read these stories to your brothers and sisters?” Mama had asked softly, touching my cheek. “Read these stories to them at bedtime? And when they’re scared at night, or during storms? Promise me, Germaine?”
Now, a year later, I’m almost sixteen and have kept my vow. But the stories are more than mere bedtime tales. As unsettling events swirl around the book, I realize something terrifying is at play.
Germaine Grey is a gripping tale of magic and suspense, where a young woman must confront her own emerging powers as well as demonic threats, setting the stage for the first of many adventures from The Book of Mendelora.
