Author Bio:
One morning, Zena’s list of eighteen “Good Morning! Randoms” that she shared with her social media friends daily unexpectedly helped her transform into the beginnings of her debut book. Raised in Western NY but now calling the MD/Northern VA area home, Zena’s path as a writer is an unexpected twist—because, oddly enough, writing has never been her passion. Instead, she thrives on the challenges of being a woman in the sales industry, where persistence, adaptability, and resilience are essential to her success.
A proud graduate of St. Bonaventure University, Zena’s life is filled with adventure, perseverance, and a touch of humor. Having completed four 70.3 Ironman triathlons, she’s embraced the challenge of pushing her limits. These days, Zena enjoys the simpler joys of life with her two rescue dogs, Delilah Grace and Louise Susanne. Her passion for collecting quirky hobbies—like photography, pens, joggers, and button-ups—keeps her grounded and reminds her to savor life’s little pleasures.
Zena’s debut book, Growing Up: Lessons Beyond Kindergarten, reveals a more introspective side, exploring the life lessons that go far beyond formal education. From navigating the challenges of aging and emotional well-being to finding humor in growing older, her writing is a heartfelt reflection on life’s unpredictable journey. With warmth, wit, and an authentic desire to de-stigmatize mental health and therapy, Zena’s work offers readers both insight and inspiration.
