Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I grew up in an isolated community in rural North Dakota. I live in North Dakota, and my first novel was published in 2014 called The Dark Days. I’ve since written three more novels in a series called The Chosen Five about the lives and loves of 5 children born in Mercy Hospital, Valley City, North Dakota on the same day in 1975.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Thirsty Ground. It is inspired by many of the struggles in my own life growing up, dealing with loneliness, and knowing how and when to take a stand.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I often write the middle or end of the book if it comes to me before the beginning from dreams or things people have said to me throughout the day. Some call this unusual, I call it writing fuel.

What are you working on now?
Book 4 in the series The Chosen Five. It’s about the last of the five children born in 1975, There is a total of 5 books in the series. The fifth and last book will be about the five children meeting in present day.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?

Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice is from Stephen King, and its write 2000 words a day.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
They only have the power you give them, don’t give them yours.
