About Heavy Metal Murder
A rookie PI, a ghost hunting BFF — and a murder that’s dying to be solved.
The ink isn’t dry on her private investigator’s license and Jessica Byrne’s rich client, Daniel Swiggerd, is on ice The ink isn’t even dry on Jessica Byrne’s private investigator license, and her first client—wealthy Daniel Swiggerd—is already on ice at the morgue.
Welcome to Pottstown, Pennsylvania, forty miles from Philly and lovingly nicknamed Potts Vegas for its weirdos, crime rate, and questionable charm. It’s here, in the shadow of the nuclear power plant, that Jessica’s setting up shop with her best friend Sam, a paranormal investigator who’s dead serious about her Ouija board.
Unfortunately, Jessica’s newest case isn’t off to a killer start. Daniel’s dead, Sam’s trying to chat with his ghost, and Jessica’s other client, Vlad, just got arrested for the murder. Now she’s got to clear Vlad’s name, find the real killer, and keep her fledgling business from flatlining.
As if that’s not enough, her radiation-hot ex and rival PI, Max O’Conner, is on the same trail—and in her way. When their cases collide, Jessica and Max will have to join forces, dodge a few gangsters with a fast-food habit, and try not to destroy too many Cadillacs… or their feelings for each other.
Snark, sparks, and small-town scandal—this mystery proves that sometimes the dead aren’t the only ones haunting you.
