Author Bio:
Sharon Littlefield Chandler is a Louisiana girl, through and through. Born in Columbia, Louisiana, Sharon has wonderful memories of her early years in Caldwell parish, spending many hours with her sister enjoying the wooded gardens, forest trails and ponds, lakes and rivers of northeast Louisiana. In 1963, the family moved to Sterlington in Ouachita parish. Sharon graduated Sterlington High School where she first realized a loved for both art and writing. She subsequently earned a BA in journalism at Northeast Louisiana University, now ULM, and worked as a reporter and feature writer at area newspspers. In 1980, Sharon met her husband, moved to the northwest corner of the state and began a career with Louisian’s Department of Health and Hospitals that spanned over 30 years. While working as a clinic manager for the Office of Addictive Disorders, she furthered her education, earning a Masters Degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Louisiana Tech University. Sharon and her husband of close to 50 years, share a daughter, two grandchildren, three dogs and two cats. When she is not writing, Sharon enjoys fishing, quilting, geneology, crating and spending time with her family. Her current project, Hemingway Castle and the Mississippi Mudslide, is slated for completion in 2026.
