About Her Looking Glass by Joe Murtagh
Against the turbulent and violent backdrop of late 1950s Glasgow, nurse Alice Walker is in desperate need of money to ease her elderly parents’ plight. She’s drawn into a murderous labyrinth of deceit, blackmail and horror, which tests her values and courage to the very limit.
Her trust in friends and colleagues suck her into a twilight world of unlawful abortions, organised crime, and illegal drug distribution.
This leaves her with the choice of becoming a targeted whistle-blower with no financial means to help her loved ones, or an accomplice in heinous crimes.
