About Homer’s Odyssey Part I: The Journey Home
Admit it. When you first read Homer’s Odyssey two thoughts occurred to you: first, that it really needed updating ; and second, it lacked otters. We’ll I fixed these problems with my first novel which retells the story for children of all ages. For the middle grade reader it is the story of Homer,a young otter, and his buddy, Stanley, who must escape captivity and save his family, while getting into all sorts of mischief along the way. For the older reader, the story contains over 100 references to the original (both subtle and overt) with many laughs along the way.
