Author Bio:
When you are young, you have hopes, dreams, and even schemes about what path you will take in life. June was positive she would become a commercial artist. When that didn’t happen, she became an art teacher. After seven years, circumstances made that career no longer an option, and she became a staff accountant for a CPA firm. During this “path,” she and her daughter, Wendy, took an unexpected detour and established a non-profit animal shelter for abandoned and abused animals. Because they needed funds to support their increasing animal family, they wrote a book, Let Freedom Ring, hoping it would be a best seller. The book received good ratings but never made any best seller lists or helped much with their financial needs.
Then June’s life path encountered a very deep hole and took an abrupt and devastating change of direction. Wendy passed away from breast cancer, and June had to find appropriate homes for all their animals. When that overwhelming task was completed, she remained at her accounting position until she retired because her failing eyesight became a major problem.
Besides Hope Unleashed, June is also the author of seven published mystery/thriller novels: Let Freedom Ring (co-authored with Wendy), Before We Fade Away (nominated for the Paranormal Romance Reviewer’s Choice Award in 2018), A Conflict of Time, Whatever It Takes, There Was an Old Woman, At Rope’s End, and What Happened to the Boy?. Now at eighty-four, June lives in Ohio and spends her retirement writing, reading, hanging out with what family she has left, and trying to stay healthy and alive. .
