Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was born into a politically divided Europe and the series of these short love/satires are somewhat drawn from my experiences there…long ago.
So far, I have completed two “Inter-” stories with more in the offing.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“Intermezzo” plays out in 1963 spy-laden Vienna.
I thought I’d have some fun for a change and write some short satires under this pen name. My other (6) books are full-blown literary sagas ranging from historical fiction to thrillers to poetry.
So, with the short “Inter-” series, I hope to amuse the sophisticated reader who wants something more titillating, if you will (yet without explicit scenes).
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I have a glass of wine here and there when I do need a “steamy” scene…that gets edited the next morning to make sure there is something left to the reader’s imagination.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
None in this particular genre.
What are you working on now?
“Intercourse” (as defined in the dicitionary).
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Still working on that enigma.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
If you love to write, keep writing. Success may or may not come, but at least you are doing somthing you love (and hopefully are good at).
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Don’t let the bastards get you down.”
It was actually a rather elegant man who said that to me.
What are you reading now?
Writing. So, not much time spent reading.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Back to completing Book 3 of my other genre.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Writers of dramatic family sagas:
Thomas Mann, James A. Mitchener, James Clavell.
