Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Ikechukwu Ukokwele born in Aba in southern Nigeria, is a self-published author who writes about his region, Africa.
He currently has one published book.
His writings are put together in the most mind-blowing manner resulting in fine fictions.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
You Are Not A Boy.
I grew up in a patriarchal society where women’s rights are commonly suppress and seeking a redress is always deemed a taboo.
The short story tries to shade a light on how women and young girls work against the system
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I barely write siting. I either lie down or stand. Also, I can’t write with another person in the room

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Chinua Achebe
What are you working on now?
A short story about a ravenous nanny goat and a cranky old lady
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Promotion sites and sending copies to family and friends
Do you have any advice for new authors?
The best time to start writing was yesterday, the second best is now.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Whenever you feel overwhelmed, take a break and come back refreshed

What’s next for you as a writer?
I will apply for a masters program
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
