About In the Deluge
Words flow across the page like water flows down a stream. Rain, thunderstorms, hail, and hurricanes. There is no life without water, but water can also sweep it away.
The sound of thunder is never far away,
Rumbling like distant beating drums.
I am still waiting for the rain.
Contemporary poetry swirling and swelling with emotion like the river after a flood.

Author Bio:
Dana Lockhart grew up on the outskirts of a town of 199 people, but the small town life couldn’t contain her spirit. She yearned for something more adventurous and worthwhile, and, more than anything, for her voice to be heard.
After completing her degree, she went out into the world to try and make a name for herself, but she’s still trying to find out where she belongs. She has since sought careers in helping others, including in local government, non-profits, and legal services. Her proudest achievement is being elected the first vice president of the Hannibal Writers Guild in 2018, and later the president in 2019. She writes with the intent to share ideas, inspiration, and meaning with her readers.
