What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My picture book, My Little Piggy. What I love most about my work is creating stories and convey emotions to people. My wife is a talented writer, passionate about educational stories for children and I have extensive experience in storytelling for movies and TV. The idea was born 7 years ago when we bought a piggy bank at a local fair and decided to work together in these children’s books to teach children the importance of money, its origins and how to handle it healthily while preserving the most important human values such as love, friendship, family, solidarity and teamwork.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I usually draw some sketches on my computer before I start writing some lines, especially for the most complex situations. In this way, I can visualize the situations clearly and blow my imagination.
As an artist, this process is very inspiring when creating stories for TV too.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on some animation productions in Los Angeles, CA as lead animator and concept artist.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Patience is the mother of all virtues, especially in the habit of writing.
Ideas must be fertilized, conceived. They come with natural discomforts, migraines, dizziness, weaknesses, insomnia, nausea, etc.
Care must be taken not to fall into mental blocks, and then the expected time comes, when you finally give birth and you can start writing your book. A new job starts, and you must continue working to make it grow.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Discipline is the bridge between goals and achievements.
