Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have written six short stories and one full-length novel within the erotica genre.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
‘S.I.R.E.N.S’ is a full-length erotic action/adventure romance novel set in World War 2. It is based on clandestine warfare operations carried out by S.O.E, the British ‘Special Operations Executive.’
In the book, four women (one Austrian, one French, one English and one Italian) come together through different back stories to fight as a dedicated unit, seeking to destroy an experimental nerve agent being developed for inclusion in the V2 rocket weapons.
Along the way there is an ongoing background romance, characters dealing with bereavement and loss, and all manner of sexual shenanigans.
I have long been in awe of the female agents of S.O.E. While the book is primarily a piece of erotic entertainment with a strong action/adventure component, it also includes many accurate details and historical settings to flesh out the narrative.
As we celebrate the centenary of women’s suffrage in 2018, it seemed like a good time to author a book which (while a work of fiction) still reflects on the incredible bravery of many real women who made the ultimate sacrifice at a time when they couldn’t formerly fight in combat operations.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
In the erotica genre, not many. I enjoy the works of Jaye Elise.
What are you working on now?
‘S.I.R.E.N.S’ has been a mammoth undertaking, so I hope to have a rest.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Yet to find a standout candidate, but hopefully ‘Awesomegang’ will be it.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write, write, and then write some more! Writing is like a muscle: it needs to be used regularly. Everything else will follow in time…
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t eat yellow snow?
What are you reading now?
Oh, the choices! I really have no idea what to start next, but only because there’s so much great stuff out there.
What’s next for you as a writer?
A holiday.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Lord of the Rings
A Christmas Carol
High Road to China
The Wind in the Willows
