Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am from India and I am currently working as an ATC . I am writing since an young age. As an introvert it was the most comfortable mean to express myself. Earlier I wrote for local literature magazines . This is my first independent book.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book ’50 Days of Poetry’ is available across the globe on Amazon. As a part of growing up, I met a lot of wonderful people and their incredible stories inspired me to write this book.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Sometimes ideas keep on rushing into my head. Those days I can’t sleep. Neither words flow down my pen when I sit down to write . It keeps on haunting me until I am finally able to write them down after suffering for a few days.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Our home was a small library you can say. We had a collection of lot of books. A few left their footprints on my mind. Srikanta by Sharat Chandra, The Traitor by Narayan Sanyal, Mother by Maxim Gorky, Pather Panchali by Bibhutibhushan to mention a few.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on a novel.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I tried facebook groups to reach out many people. It helped me a lot in selling my books.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write your heart out. You must like your book no matter what others say .
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
My mother would always tell me
“In life take care of one thing, whatever you achieve ,first try to become a good human being. ” I think in todays world that is what we need the most and I am working on myself everyday to become a better version of me in all respect.
What are you reading now?
I am reading First Light .
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am looking forward to complete my novel as of now.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I will take Feynman lectures. Haha! Yeah , I love Physics.
