Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi. I have only written one book so far. Actually, I have written two but have only had one published. I expect to have the second one published in January, 2016. I am a former high school English teacher and also have taught in community college. I have been married for thirty-nine years to the same man and have children and grandchildren. I hold two Master’s degrees in Education, have traveled around Europe, and was the UCLA BRUINS bear mascot during the John Wooden basketball years (1970’s).
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The book is entitled, BEING GRATEFUL: How to Open the Door to a More Fulfilled & Abundant Life in 13 Easy Steps.
Having been in the education field, a pastor’s wife, and a men’s ministry prison leader, I have seen and witnessed a myriad of human issues and interactions which has caused be to believe in having an “attitude of gratitude.”
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don’t think I have any unusual writing habits.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love reading. I especially enjoy biographies and autobiographies. I enjoy the “classics.” Titles, such as, Wuthering Heights, Of Mice and Men, Animal Farm, Fahrenheit 451, Little Women, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Gone With the Wind, to name a few. Present day Christian authors I read are Max Lucado, Joyce Meyer, and Beth Moore.
What are you working on now?
I have recently finished my rough draft of a book called, BEING DETERMINED.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
I guess it would be just to sit down, focus, and write!
Don’t try to second guess yourself or you will become paranoid.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Wow! What a loaded question! How about, “Fake it ’til you make it!”
What are you reading now?
I am attempting to read a book by Fawn Weaver entitled, The Argumentative Free Marriage.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am writing a series of three “being grateful” books – or BE ATTITUDE books. The next or third one is called, BEING HAPPY. They are all basically written in the same genre and vein- self-help, inspirational, spiritual, personal growth books- along similar formatting lines.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
