Interview With Author Jason Harwood
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Happily Ever Habits is my first book I’ve written. Inspired by the science of developing habits, I decided to apply the same principles to habits that help me live happier. I know it’s important to eat healthy and exercise, but those things don’t help me on the days I feel like I’m slipping into a darker and darker life. On those days when we need a bit more light and happiness in our lives, this book helps create the habits that move us into a happier life.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Happily Ever Habits.
I will never forget one morning flipping my feet off my lovely bed, in my lovely house, next to my lovely wife, with my lovely kids about to head to my lovely job. And yet, the thought running through my head was…”I don’t want to do it today.” I didn’t want to live another day through what should be a happy life. Why? Why was I so miserable with so many amazing things around me? I decided I better get that sorted out quickly! So I started living small habits every day intentionally to help me be happier. This book is about the principles that helped that journey be possible.
