Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I started writing romance with Mills & Boon in 2006, and I’ve been with Samhain since 2008. Compromising Positions is my bestselling book, making it to the top spot on Kindle. I’ve released fifteen titles so far.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Caribbean Cowboy is the fourth installment in the Under the Caribbean Sun series. Janny had it in for the heroes in the first three books, so this is where we all find out why.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I’m not the best typist, so I spend a lot of time checking where my fingers are. When I’m writing a story I like to keep my nail polish the same color.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love Vicki Lewis Thompson. She’s just as amazing in life as you’d think she must be from her stories.
What are you working on now?
I recently finished Just Married, a sexy twist on the marriage of convenience. Up next will be Resisting the Rancher, a follow-up to Anything For A Cowboy.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I have really struggled with promotion. The only think I know works for sure is writing another book.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Finishing a book will teach you more about writing than any workshop you could ever take.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Yes, you can. – Lucy Monroe
What are you reading now?
Pioneer Woman Cooks. I read cookbooks like people read novels.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’ve had health issues for the last few years. I’m doing much better now, so I’m hoping to write more.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Some kind of Ultimate Survival Guide and something about first aid. Unless it’s a desert island like Anguilla where cabanas are the norm and books are hard to come by (darned import taxes). Then… a Tawna Fenske to make me laugh, a Donna Alward in case I need the release of a good cry, and a Lucy Monroe to make me think.
