Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was working to make ends meet in the Hospitality Industry until the Pandemic hit. I worked as Corporate Head of Marketing in 5 star and 4 star Hotels of international repute including Accor and Starwood. However my heart was nt in the corporate world. I was anchoring events and training people and my spirit wanted me to write and do energy work. A couple of years, I had visions, Kundalini Awakening and Astral experiences . At the time I practiced yoga and also abstained from fleshly pursuits. I lived like a hermit and still do. I am now a vegetarian. I have honed my spiritual skills with time. I have written short stories and 2 books. One of them was published in a magazine called “One in the hole” in Jackson, Wyoming USA. The other 2 books are “Don’t Be Afraid to love” and “Magic of the Ancients” . I write under the Pseudonym of Jenney Clark. I moved back to the city last year and am still training people and writing.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Magic of the Ancients” was published recently recently on 27th November 2021. Spirituality and my muse inspired it. The pandemic gave me time to reflect on love and spirituality. It took me 2 years, a few supernatural experiences, a some lemony snickets, and a decade of cramming to write it. This book is a veritable encyclopedia on crystals, sacred geometry, symbols, 188 universal laws, reincarnation, shadow work, numerology, karmic wheel of life, chakras, Shamanism, Buddhist teachings, Lexigrams, Tarot spreads and more!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I listen to music by underground hiphop artists, or MJ and Bob Marley to get my mojo.
I love classical music , I do my best work while listening to Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Bach and other classical composers.
But my most favorite is ” Nuper rosarum flores.” It was played as a motet, composed by Guillaume Dufay for the 25 March 1436 consecration of the Florence cathedral. The occasion was the completion of the dome built under the instructions of Filippo Brunelleschi.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Oh this is a priceless question.. I have been reading since a very young age. it started with Grimms, moved to Lewis Caroll, Enid Blyton, Carolyn Keene, Leo Tolstoy, Edgar Allan Poe, Mark Twain, Jane Austen, Toni Morrison, Edgar Cayce, Ernest Hemingway, Lord Byron, Mary Shelley,
What are you working on now?
I am working on my 2nd book in the series and have an Anthology and 2 Collabs that I am pursuing
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I check my algorithms regularly and I am active on social media. I have found goodreads and reedsy to be quite active
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Follow your heart. never let anyone stop you from pursuing your dreams. The Buddhists have a chant, “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” , it is also called the Lotus Sutra . Though the meaning alludes to the community, Buddhists practice it as a means to detachment. In the experience I’ve had, I learnt nothing is permanent in this world. Buddha once said all attachment causes pain and suffering. So if you want to love, love unconditionally. If you want to serve, serve without expectation. And if you want to create , create without limitation.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Thank you for this question. As with most things that are mystical in nature, the deeper one goes into the mysteries of hallowed ancient teachings the more wisdom one gains. “Know Thyself”, that wonderful Greek adage from the Delphi Mystics is my personal favorite.
What are you reading now?
Magic of the Ancients 2 , I am on a journey into the great unknown.
What’s next for you as a writer?
As a woman, I have learnt that women tend to put everything into a relationship and have many expectations. My next book will be fiction, about love, passions, egos and relationships. I wish to reach as many hearts and change as many lives as I can, crossing all divides, cultural boundaries and orientations. My love language is oneness
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Wuthering Heights, Great Expectations and Homer’s Odyssey
