Interview With Author Jennifer Kyndnes
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have suffered from anxiety from a long time. Anxiety had become part of my repertoire, and it got to a point that I could not engage in most activities without having the ‘worried- response’. Anxiety and mental illness are her passions.
On my journey, I realised that self-love (and being kind to yourself) is the missing link to our overall wellbeing.
I’ve just published my first book and now im writing the second book on Anxiety also, but directed to Gen Z and their struggles.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Its called “Help with Anxiety: Moving from Self-Worry to Self-Love”.
The inspiration came from my our journey through and now of Anxiety.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like to meditate before sitting to write, no sure if that’s too unusual though.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Jordan Petterson has been a great influence, i love how action-pro he is. Its all about plan and take action , even if it is small steps at a time, keep moving.
What are you working on now?
Help with Anxiety – A guide to Gen Z
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I dont have one that i can highlight yet. Lets see the results and i will get back to tell you.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Sit and write when inspiration strikes.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Live without fear.
What are you reading now?
Books in anxiety and Gen Z daily life and struggles.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Write more about mental illnesses and help people to overcome them. Professional help is important but as a society, we should take ownership of our choices and actions and not always blame others and make them responsible for who we are.
Its about stopping being a victim surrounded by villains and become the main character of your own story.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Quantum Consciousness – Amit Goswani
The Alchemist- Paulo Coelho
And my own first book: Help with Anxiety: moving from self-worries to self-love
