Author Bio:
For author Felícia Jones, the seed to become a writer was sown as a child when she fell in love with reading. Her many unfinished stories were the inspiration for what would later become her first published works, the most recent of which is the children’s picture book, Jerome’s Magical Home, about a boy and his friend who learn that not everything that is magical is perfect. Felícia gets her ideas for stories from many places, like movies, TV shows, and conversations. She also draws on her passion for music and background as a songwriter. She believes a great story is one with unexpected turns and where the characters go through a dramatic change. She hopes her young readers come away from her story with the important lesson of not comparing oneself to others and that this stays with them long after the book is closed.
