Interview With Author Jessica Sankala
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m from Finland and I live in the south of France, from where I run my online company and home-school my son. We currently have 2 cats, aiming for 12. I love listening to the sounds of the sea and walking in nature, boxing and also reading while sipping on local rosé. I’ve written one book so far.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My book is called Lotta and it was a sort of dare I made myself, because I wanted to tell the story, but I didn’t feel I was capable.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really, I write when I can where I can whenever inspiration hits me.

What are you reading now?
Too many books going on at the same time. Mainly about ADHD at the moment: Would you teach a fish how to climb a tree by Gary Douglas, Dain Heer and Anne Maxwell.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Another book, and hopefully more. Possibly translations into French too.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
