Interview With Author Jhon Jhon
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am Jhon, an author passionate about telling gripping stories filled with romance, action, and strong characters. When I’m not writing, I enjoy reading books about crime and history, listening to music, and exploring new cultures. Writing allows me to create worlds where powerful women like Isabella can rise and fight against all odds. My goal is to entertain readers while inspiring them with stories of resilience and empowerment.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is Cartel Queens. It was inspired by my fascination with strong women who rise to power in difficult and dangerous worlds. I wanted to explore the story of Isabella, a woman who transforms from a poor girl into a powerful mafia queen, showing courage, loyalty, and love in the midst of crime and action. The mix of romance and suspense makes it a thrilling read that keeps readers hooked until the last page.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes! I often write late at night when the world is quiet and my mind is free from distractions. Sometimes, I listen to intense music to help me get into the mood of my story, especially for action and suspense scenes. I also like to write with a cup of strong coffee nearby — it fuels my creativity!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have been greatly influenced by authors like Don Winslow and Elmore Leonard, who masterfully combine crime, action, and complex characters. Their storytelling inspired me to create gripping plots with strong, multi-dimensional protagonists. I also enjoy reading romance novels that add emotional depth to my stories.
What are you working on now?
Right now, I’m working on the sequel to Cartel Queens, continuing Isabella’s story as she faces new challenges and deeper threats in the dangerous world of the mafia. I’m also exploring ideas for a standalone thriller with strong female leads, mixing suspense and romance.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
One of my best methods for promoting my books is using social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook to connect directly with readers and build a community. I also find that participating in book promotion sites like AwesomeGang.com helps reach a wider audience interested in my genre. Additionally, newsletters and author interviews are great tools to keep readers engaged and informed about new releases.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice for new authors is to stay persistent and keep writing, even when it feels challenging. Building an audience takes time, so don’t get discouraged by slow progress. Also, connect with other writers and readers—community support is invaluable. Finally, always be open to learning and improving your craft.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I have ever heard is: “Write every day, even if it’s just a little.” Consistency is key to improving your skills and completing your projects. It reminded me that progress comes from persistence, not perfection.
What are you reading now?
Right now, I’m reading a mix of crime thrillers and historical fiction. I’m especially enjoying books that dive deep into complex characters and gritty settings, as they inspire me while I write my own stories.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Next, I plan to finish the sequel to Cartel Queens and continue exploring stories with strong female leads in thrilling, action-packed settings. I also want to expand my audience by connecting with more readers through social media and book promotions.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
If I were stranded on a desert island, I would bring these books:
1. The Godfather by Mario Puzo – for its unforgettable story about family and power.
2. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn – for its thrilling suspense and twists.
3. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen – to enjoy classic romance and wit.
4. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho – for inspiration and hope during tough times.
