Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a guy in his mid-twenties with a passion for anything science fiction, fantasy with additives of action and adventure, whether movies, books or comics. I also enjoy music and the arts (I tried writing songs into my books. Not quite there yet). I also like hot alien chicks. Besides all of that, I love stories, and have a lot to tell. I believe one of the best way of sharpening young minds in through literature, and want everyone to be apart of my work.
I’ve written two novels and around five short stories. My opus magnum has already reached six hundred pages, but chances are I might need to rewrite it, as its still not quite perfect.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is titled “The Blue Goon,” and tells the story of a teenage boy who gets superpowers and has to battle various villains and monsters. The story is heavily inspired by the cartoons I used to watch growing up; the monster-of-the-week series like power ranger, as well as the escapade of kids growing up like that you would see in Hey Arnold. Because it doesn’t follow one set plot it allows me to make each chapter sound unique, and I really like that flexibility.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Sometimes when I get bored with a story I’m currently writing, what I do is take a break by writing a new completely different story. Writing different things keeps my mind refreshed and at the same time my fingers always ready.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’m honestly mostly influenced my anime and manga as compared to books, as I’ve read more of the former; such as Dragon Ball Z, Once Piece, Yuyu Hakusho and darker works such as Berserk. In regard to books, there are the obvious works of Tolkien, some Stephen King and Alan Dean Foster.
What are you working on now?
My next project involves a tale about monsters and treasure…that’s it for now.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Promoting my book is really difficult, that’s all I’ll say.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Writing the book is the easy part. Getting it out there is where the difficulty lies. However, keep at it, eventually something has to break.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I’ve heard a lot. I’ll have to see which one works.
What are you reading now?
I’m currently reading a manga called Black Clover. I was hesitant at first due to similarities to Naruto, but the story arc has changed and become unique and intriguing.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I would love to see my works on the big screen and even in anime.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I would take a porn magazine of course, A Wizard’s Bestiary, An Expedition by Wayne Barlowe and
