J.A. Hoskins has been telling stories since she could first hold a pencil — though it took a few decades in an engineering career, many other written works, and the perspective of the second half of her century to finally bring them to the forefront.
Born in Canada and now happily anchored on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, she has spent a lifetime reading voraciously across genres, writing professionally in other voices, and nurturing the fiction that was always hers to tell.
Her novels explore resilience, reinvention, belonging, and the quietly transformative power of human connection. When she isn’t writing, she can be found hiking coastal trails, restoring old buildings, cooking for friends, or firmly defending chocolate as a legitimate food group.
