Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
This is the first book that I have put my name on. My career has ranged from Water ski manufacturing to political consulting on a statewide-national campaign platform, business, technology, and pioneered the digital distribution of music/film starting in 2001.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Carbynarah Chronicles – as a youth I played D&D, and fell in love with The Lord of the Rings.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like drinking Diet Dr. Pepper while I write so I spend a lot of time writing in McDonalds, because they have the best-flavored Diet Dr. Pepper.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have a very hard time reading – because of my reading disability, so I don’t read much (I graduated High School functionally illiterate) … I know sounds lame.
What are you working on now?
Finalizing the edit of Book 2 of the Carbynarah Chronicles, The rough drafts of Book 3, 4, 5 and large parts of Book 6 and 7 of this series have been written. Working on a Book about marriage, and personal trials … and Finally a Christmas Story that while I would love to have finished by this Christmas, will probably have to wait another year.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Social media specifically face book, I sometimes you marketing channels on various distribution houses.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never give up … Go with your heart … relax and let it happen in it own time. You ruin a rose by pealing back the petal of a bud, let it bloom on its own.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Stress makes you believe that everything has to happen right now. Faith assures you that everything will happen is Gods time.
What are you reading now?
The Bible – even if you do not believe in the religious significance of the book, it is a unbelievably strong resource of understanding human nature and a resource for finding ideas to write about.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Finish all projects I am working on in the next year. As a side project I am working on a eBook distribution model that will allow authors to make more money and have greater distribution channels then they have with Amazon … ask me in a couple of weeks, I will be able to tell you how well it works … we are beta testing the platform within the next 10 days.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
